The Astounding She Monster
THE PLOT:
A daring kidnapping, a dramatic chase, tense drama and an encounter of the WHOO-WHOO kind. All in this entry from the 1950's
called the Astounding She-Monster.
The daughter of a rich man has been kidnapped, her name Margaret. Her captures took her to a remote area of the woods,
taking a geologist hostage as well, his name is Dick. You would think that was enough of a movie by itself, but also in the
woods is one hot alien.
The problem with this babe from the stars is she doesn't talk and she is surrounded by an aura of radium which makes her
touch deadly to life on Earth. But the Mobsters shoot first and ask questions later which leads the Alien cutey steamed and
on the hunt.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
There is allot of cheese in this movie, the gangster's dialog sound like it came right from a forites Gangster movie. There
is allot of stock footage of the She-Monster wondering through the woods. But there is a good story buried beneath the cheese
and bad dialog. The concept is unique and cool. Shirley Kilpatrick really looks good in that outfit and it's just fun to
watch and laugh at. I give this movie 7 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I must disagree, I can't stand a movie that uses stock footage as a crutch to keep the budget down, it's annoying and the
dialog was just awful. I agree with Zedd, there is a good story buried here, but it's too deep in the sh** to see. I must
give THE ASTOUNDING SHE-MONSTER no more then 4 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The space babe vs. The thugs is a unique story idea)
+ EFFECTS (The alien glowing effects and the radium effects really works)
+ FUN (The most fun you can have watching a B-Movie)
AND TWO WORDS...
+ SHIRLEY KILPATICK (She was hot alien with one hot catsuit)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- DIALOG (The dialog of this one from the kidnappers is really cheesy)
- STOCK-FOOTAGE (Way, way to much stock-footage of her wondering the woods)
AND FIANLLY....
- FAN BASED (If you aren't into ED WOOD style movies, this isn't for you)
