Sometimes They Come Back 2 (USA)
Jon returns to his hometown decades after three Satanist Punk killed his sister and justice came at the end of a sparking
electrical wire. But when an "accident" claims his mother he is forced to return home to set her affairs in order.
But that death has released Tony Reno, one of the dead punks out of the pool, now a demon.
Tony knows that only two more deaths can release his two friends so they can complete the demonic ritual that Jon stopped
so long ago but the part of Jon's sister will be played by Jon's daughter unless Jon can find a way to send them back to hell
which may require a sacrifice of his own.
As you may already be aware of that I am a fan of the first movie, but I got to admit that this second installment is even
better then the first in several ways. First, the demon punks are even cooler then the zombie punks. Alexis Arquette who plays
Tony Reno knows how to have fun while being evil, that's always cool. The demonic effects are cool. Now my complaint, they
talk about how Jon kills the three punks electrocuting them, they even show it in the trailer, but why did they cut it out
of the movie? I for a party of one think that is kind of important to the plot, that would be like cutting the train wreck
from the first movie. Maybe they can put it back in some anniversary edition DVD or something. If you're reading this and
own a DVD company, you might want to consider it. But other then that, I give Sometimes they come back again 9 STARS.
I agree on everything, especially about the scene being cut out. It's not like it was three hours or anything, they had the
time. There was no good reason to cut such an important scene. 9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (The creature effects are good.)
+ STORY (As good as the first.)
+ CAST (All the cast does a great job.)
+ VILLAIN (Alexis Arquette makes a great villain.)
+ ACTING (The acting is great.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SCENE CUT (Why did they cut such a important scene out?)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't a fan of the first movie or of Steven King in general. Then this isn't the movie for you.)
