Stephen King's Cat's Eye

reaching his goal. In...
QUITTERS INC. The cat is a witness to Dick, a man who wants to quit smoking but get caught up in a dangerous world where
he's always being watched and if he cheats his wife will be murdered.
THE LEDGE: The cat is the witness of a rich man's revenge on the man who is having an affair with his wife by making him
climb the ledge around the building and tries his best to knock him off the ledge.
And finally in...
THE GENERAL: The cat must defend the child from a tiny life stealing monster but the mother feels it's the cat who stealing
her daughter's breath like the old myth claims. But the truth may end up killing her.
I got to admit I'm not the biggest Steven King fan, in fact, there are several movie adaptations of his work that I hate.
But that's another review. This time we are talking about Cat's Eye. Three stories are all impressive, not perfect, but impressive.
Not all of them are completely realistic either. But I got to admit I love the little General monster in the third story,
even though they never truly said what the heck that thing was to begin with. A demon, a mutant, what? Other then the truth
behind the myth of the cat stealing your baby's breath. Which I always knew was bunk. The second story and no pun there was
well written as well. All and all one of King's best stories and best movie adaptations and I would highly recommend it even
if you aren't a King fan. 9 STARS out of 10.
Although I agree with Zedd I have a major complaint about the first story, QUITTERS INC, that kind of thing isn't legal.
If I was Dick, I wouldn't put up with being watched all the time. I would do what I want and when they murdered my wife I
would see them hang for murder. Which is a crime, that kind of thing isn't legal and can't happen in these United States
and that unrealistic story is the reason why I'm giving CAT'S EYE 7 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORIES (Two out of the three stories were good.)
+ CREATURE EFFECTS (We love the little General.)
+ BRAVE CAT (Out hero, the cat is pretty good.)
+ CHARACTERS (For the most part, the characters worked.)
+ CAST (The cast does a great job.)
+ STEVEN KING (You might like it even if you aren't a fan of Steven King.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- MINOR CHARACTER ISSUES (There are some minor character issues.)
- FIRST STORY (Great acting and great cast, but unrealistic.)
