THE PLOT:
Top secret research on a remote island results turn deadly, as a komodo dragon and a king cobra grow to unheard of size.
Now a rescue team will be the one that will needs rescuing after they're only escape craft is destroyed and they are marooned
on this remote island with a king-sized Komodo and a really, really big Cobra.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Okay, right off the bat it was hard to pick a side to route for in the reptile rumble. Both the Komodo and Cobra were eating
people. Second the human characters weren't much better in that respect. But the effects were pretty cool and I long cross-overs.
Even though I didn't see much of a tie in with the King Kobra movie. That cobra had a rattlesnake tail. This was just a big
ass snake. All and all not one of Michael Paré best jobs, but to it's credit it is suspenseful and you never know when one
of the two giant beasties will jump out at them. But it makes you wonder, why don't they ever pick nice animals in these movies?
Oh well, as a whole the movie is watchable at least once. But I wouldn't buy this one, rent it or wait for the re-run on the
sci-fi channel. 6 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I'm going to be giving a slightly lower grade for all those bad points Zedd mentioned. In fact, I found the characters are
the annoying side. Not the actor's fault, they did a good job with what limited material they were given. But it was still
pretty lame. But not terrible, just lame. 41/2 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ EFFECTS (The effects were pretty good.)
+ STORY (The story is basic, but it works.)
+ ACTING (The actors do a great job with what they were given.)
+ CROSS-OVER (ZEDD loves cross-overs.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- WHO TO ROUTE FOR (Both were mean monsters out to eat them.)
- HUMAN CHARACTERS (The human characters were much better.)
- CROSS-OVER IN NAME ALONE (There was no connection to either movie.)
...AND FINALLY...
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on big reptiles, then this isn't for you.)
