An elite military unit has been ordered to trapse deep within a nameless South American jungle in order to rescue Polical
Prisoner from Terrorist.
But once they arrive in the jungle they feel like they are being watched by some unseen unknown force. They take out
the Terrorist to find the prisoners and dead and the real objective is to stop them from crossing the boarder.
The trip home gets more deadly then the battle with the Terrorists as the unseen unknown creature makes his moves against
them. The hunt is on the Hunter is the unseen alien Predator, the hunted is soldiers and the question is, will any of them
leave the jungle alive?
A true eighties classic, the creature effects were perfect. A cast premise for a monster movie. So much so there have been
many rip offs of the predator. Anyway, great cast. The Carl Weathers character got annoying and they never explained why
that girl was working for the Terrorists? Other then that, a great movie and worth watching over and over again. I give
the PREDATOR....9 STARS
I agree with Zedd on this. The creature effects are cool, story, all the good points. I also agree with the bad points he
pointed out. Also if you aren't one for the alien monster in the Jungle, this isn't for you. I give it....9 STARS as well.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CREATURE (The cool creature effects makes it worth while)
+ STORY (The story works)
+ CAST (A great cast doing a great job)
+ EFFECTS (Very impressive effects)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- CARL WEATHERS CHARACTER (The Carl Weathers CIA agent character got a little annyoying at times)
- WHY? (She seemed so nice, why was she with the gang of murdreous thugs?)
- FAN BASED (If you aren't big on this style of monster movie, this isn't for you.)
